double opt in email settings

    I have problem with WordPress, i am using mailchimp plugin and my double opt in email confirmation still be sent out even if the settings are turned off inside mailchimp, i have contacted them and they told me that a 3rd party is interfering and sending the double opt-in. I need to locate the opt in settings within WordPress, because it is WordPress causing this problem…
