I have grouped products that allow the customer to choose either a CD or an MP3 file of a music album. On such pages, the song players are all listed twice, making an unnecessarily long list of players. How to resolve this?

    Hello @maxdesertheartcom

Could you please indicate the URL to the page to check the issue in detail?

I currently have it disabled, because it makes the site look bad with so many players on each page. And on this site it seems I can only get the plugin to work if I enable it in Settings for the whole site, and check the box for “include music player in all products.” It doesn’t work if I just turn it on for a particular product. The site is maxhighsteinmusic.com. If you think you might be able to check it shortly, let me know and I’ll turn it on for a few minutes.

    for example.

Also, on this product page I get the songs from a different album, followed by the songs from that product page’s album. https://maxhighsteinmusic.com/product/tiptoes/

Note that I also have the songs in the wordpress player. I’m testing out the Music Player plugin so I’m leaving those there for now.

see above notes. Meanwhile, on this page https://maxhighsteinmusic.com/product/hotcakes/

the player doesn’t show up at all. On this page I had previously set it to appear on a per page basis. It’s unchecked now, and it doesn’t appear, even though it’s set up to appear globally. When I check it to appear on that page now (not turned on at the moment), it shows up without the play buttons.

    Hello @maxdesertheartcom

The problem is simple. You have a grouped product (https://maxhighsteinmusic.com/product/tiptoes/) that contains two products (CD and Mp3). And both have audio files associated.
Our plugin generates players for every audio file associated with the grouped products.

If you want to load the audio files associated with only one of the grouped products, you must untick the “Include music player” checkbox in the second one.

About the global settings, and product settings. The players’ settings in specific products have precedence over global settings.

    Best regards.

Thank you. That helped. Also, I was looking for a way to limit the length of time each selection plays. Is that only in the paid version?

    Hello @maxdesertheartcom

Yes, I’m sorry. That is a commercial feature. Also, the commercial version allows you to associate audio files to the grouped product for demos, independently of the audio files associated with the products by separate.

    Best regards.
