Double posting all of a sudden

  • I woke up today…made a post…and saw 2 posts on my index page. So I made a test post and the same thing happned again. Any idea what might be causing this? I havent made any recent edits and things have been running smoothly for months. From what I can see there are no DB issues. What could have caused this out of the blue?

    By the way…when the post is made the slug will read something like…

    my-new-posting.php
    and
    my-new-posting-2.php

    Very weird.

    I have been searching even more so I can give you guys some more info.

    Not only is there a double post BUT there is also a double entry in the manage post area.

    I contacted my host to see if any changes were made to php or mysql and they said…

    “Your server has recently been upgraded to a phpSuExec format :

    This means that the nobody user will no longer be used for PHP processes, so 777
    permissions will no longer be necessary on any files. Let us know if you have any
    further questions or concerns. Thanks.”

    Would that effect anything?
