I do have a custom header on there but it still does it when i try a different header. I have tried in the standard customizer, to hide title and thats not working. I have tried doing it singularly, with each post but thats just removes everying, including on PC view.

I am really stuck and any help would be apreciated. I have atatched 2 screenshots.

P.S- The website is under maintenance as it isn’t live yet so willneed to remove it if anyone needs to look. Also it is an adult gaming site so caution is advised

  • Hello @iannai69,

It seems your website is in maintenance mode.
I noticed that the screenshots seem to be missing.

Please explain your issue, including screenshots, URLs, and any other document, so we can understand and check it better.
You can upload your files to one of the following online services:
    https://postimages.org
    https://loom.com
    https://drive.google.com
    https://wetransfer.com
    https://dropbox.com
Or any other service you know.

However, here are some steps for troubleshooting. To check it, please do the following steps and let me know the results:

    0. Enable the primary theme(if you are using a child theme).
    1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugin.
    2. Deactivate all plugins.
    3. Then, first, activate the Ocean Extra plugin.
    4. Check your issue.
    5. Then, activate your plugins one by one
    6. After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note 1: You can try troubleshooting on the staging website/or on a fresh installation.

Note 2: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, remember to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools(if you have Elementor).

    I hope it helps.

    Best Regards

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply. I have fixed the issue, well……. not fixed, I found a work around. Sadle, it involved me installing another plugin (elementor header and footer plugin).

It seemed there was an issue with the hamburger menu from elementor causing a duplicate page title appearing on mobile and tablet.

I tried everything, disabling page titles on both, i tried code in child theme, treid changing settings, I could not remove the 2nd page title. In the end i had to use a different menu.

Whilst it has resolved the issue, i would have liked to have done it without the need for an extra plugin!!

    with thanks

    Hello @iannai69,

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find it.

Regarding your concern, you don’t have to install third-party custom header and footer plugins. With OceanWP, you can easily create your custom header and footer. Please follow the steps explained in these links:
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/355-how-to-create-a-custom-header
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/600-how-to-create-a-custom-footer

    I hope it helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for this but this seemed to be what was causing the issue!

When I used the normal menu, there was no problems but as soon as I used to custom header, the double page titles came up.

As previouslty mentioned, I tried all the fixes advised by Elementor and OceanWP and none worked. Soon as I switched back to normal menu, the problem went away.

I ended up using Elementor Header Footer builder and that fixed it. I am sure there must be some code or something that would fix it, without the need for the extra plugin. But I am not up to scratch with coding!!

The above images are the problem I was experiencing but this is now resolved.

If you have any further ideas of how I could maybe fix this issue so I could remove this extra plugin, it would be most welcomed!

    with thanks

    Hello @iannai69,

It is difficult to tell where this is coming from from the screenshots. Because you are using the transparent header, you may want to check the section’s content.

Also, you can learn how to use Chrome Developer Tools or Firefox Developer Tools to help you see and test the HTML tags:
    https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/
    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools

You can obtain information about the text’s origins using the “inspect” feature.

Also, you can use the navigation menu on the Elementor environment:
    https://elementor.com/help/navigator/

These tools will help you to find the origin text, and if it’s duplicated, remove one of them or manage it on responsive sizes:
    https://elementor.com/help/mobile-editing/

    I hope it helps.

    Hi,

It is coming from the hamburger menu. I have tested this in numerous ways. When i remove the hamburger menu, disable it ot make it not visible, the page title disapears.

Soon as I activate the menu, the page title comes back. It is nothing else!

    with thanks

    Hello @iannai69,

Is the header custom, or are you using one of the theme styles?
How can we replicate your steps to arrive at the issue on a fresh WordPress installation?

What are your latest changes? It is difficult to review without a link, so please inspect that text and send a screenshot so that we can see the upper and lower classes of that text.

Also, send the customizer settings by going to this path:
WP Dashboard > OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > Customizer > the “Export Customizer Styling” section.

You can upload your files to one of the following online services:
    https://drive.google.com
    https://wetransfer.com
    https://.dropbox.com
    https://pastebin.com/

We’ll check it out after sending the details above.

    Best Regards
