Double URL?

  • I had a wordpress blog running on a site https://www.legion21.com and after teh attack last week they put in an update and now every article either comes up 404 not found in wordpress or it cant find wordpress at all depending on the permalink. I have changed nothing. If I look in the address bar it shows a double url, the second half in quotes but I can’t find any reason for this or any way to edit it

    I have 3 other sites waiting for this one issue, any help would be appreciated

  • Did you update your permalinks?
    Go to Settings-Permalinks , change it back to default, save, and then change it to your desired settings.

    Yes, I that was the first solution I found but it actually that made it worse. If I use default it doesn’t even find the wordpress 404 page, if I use Post name it gives a 404 inside wordpress- click below you can see what I mean this is set up post name right now.

    Hmm… looks like there’s still something wrong with your settings.

    What I think I see is that you have some work to do on your single.php in the theme… because when I click on a blog entry (and it works), I see a white page without the grey layout of your other pages.

    Do you have a single.php in your theme folder?

    We finally found the problem I was having was an extra set of quotes in the template.

    I do not have single.php in my folder, can I edit that like I did the index.php to get the right look of the site?

    ok I got the single.php in and got it themed, thank you for mentioning it. Are there any other pages I need to do?

    Hmmm, tried to add a category.php and now get this error. Maybe I should stop playing around in areas I don’t fully understand. ??
