Doubts About Plugin Configurations

    I have a blog about WordPress and I’m writing an article about the wBounce plugin, however, I have some doubts regarding some settings plugin and I appreciate any help.

    For what exactly serves the Test mode option: [https://prnt.sc/cjlyyn]?

    Follows below some doubts about events on Google Analytics:

    1) Click on area outside of the popup

    This event counts the number of clicks outside the popup, there is no event to account the number of clicks within the popup?

    2) Click on ‘.modal-close’.

    I did not understand what this event counts, since there is no native feature to the close button. The event ‘Click on’ .modal-footer. ” is not the same thing? If not, what are the differences between them?

    0) If the “Test Mode” option is checked, the popup will always fire for you – as the site’s admin (regardless of the actual setting in the tab “Options”) – but not for your regular visitors. That helps you for testing your popups: If you play around with different popups and neither “Test Mode” nor “Aggressive Mode” are active, the popup only fires once and you have to manually delete your browser’s cookie in order to make the popup fire again.

    1) Clicks outside the popup are tracked in order to see how many people wanted to close your popup by clicking on the outside area. I don’t see a reason why someone would want to track general clicks within the popup. It makes sense to track clicks on certain events, such as clicks on a certain button. However, that functionality is not provided with wBounce and should be implemented on a case-by-case basis.

    2) “.modal-close” and “.modal-footer” do the same thing practically, you’re right. You could add those classes to two different elements, though. Let’s say you have two different buttons: One at the top and one at the bottom. In this case you could track both buttons independently. As you mentioned, there’s no native close button (“x”) feature, so adding this second button is up to you.
