    Hi,

The Download All zip process is very slow with larger files, it also adds a bunch of randomly generated numbers to the end of the zip (ie. Product-Name-9659765976479393.zip). I’m curious if there’s an easy to just put the files in a folder rather than zipping them, and to remove the numbers.

Thanks for your time, really love this plugin!

Hi fella, the numbers being added is a security feature. It’s so that someone isn’t able to guess the filename sequence, for where these files get stored on your server temporarily.

The zipping process is a slow one, and isn’t really designed for really big files. Depends on your server. Remember when creating a large zip file would slow old Windows down? It’s like that.

I’d recommend if you want a download all option to just have an already zipped “all” version available to download as another file option, rather than:

    File 1
    File 2
    Download All (button)

    Have:

    File 1
    File 2
Download all (file 3 on the product is already packaged)

A quick suggestion/feature request that I think would be useful:

I solved the slow zipping on the single product page by following your advice and using using a pre-packed zip instead of the download all option, this is working well.

However i’d like to utilize the archive page download feature as well. Perhaps having the ability to assign which file will download on the archive page, or even just the option to disable multi-file downloads on the archive would be something to consider adding.

    Cheers
