    Dear @machank ,

Thanks for getting in touch with us and reporting this.

This seems to be an issue connected with permission.

Could you, please, change the permission of the wp content folder to 755 from your cPanel/Admin panel?

P.S. You can also download the backup file (as well as the log files) from FTP.
The log files or backups are located in the following directory:
    “/wp-content/uploads/backup-guard/”

Hi there, I have the same issue here. I just checked my wp-content permission and it’s already set to 755. So that’s not solving the issue either. Do you have another solution?

Well, I just purchased the plugin and I’m having these issues. Overall I like the concept and the interface of the plugin. I hope you guys improve it over the years. I got my download from the wp-content folder for now.

    Dear @machank ,

    Hope you’re fine. ??

We are wondering if you changed the permission and are able to download the backup file now.

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

Hi there, yes, I have the pro version. I’m coming back here to support the plugin. I was getting the 403 error and other issues because I needed to enable the option “Download via PHP”.

I don’t know why it happens with all my sites, but maybe it’s something related to my hosting or theme.

Anyway, I’m pretty happy with BackupGuard, and I’ll make sure I leave a nice review.
    Thank you!
