    I installed WordPress from scratch in my website: https://www.digitalmarketingconsulting.it

    I’m not an expert, but I have been using WordPress on several websites and everything went fine.

    The problem came up when in the dashboard I tried to update or upload a plugin o a theme. Every time I try, I get this error message:
    Download failed. Failed to connect to downloads.www.ads-software.com port 443: Connection refused

    I contacted my hosting provider, they say there is something in the code making too many requests per second (2 is their limit), so the requests from my website are blocked.
    They also say they are not able to provide me with logs.

    I removed WordPress, tried a fresh installation and the same problem came up, straight away.

    I donwload WordPress from the official website, so I imagine the code should not be broken or corrupted.

    Manually uploading themes and plugins works, but it’s just a temporary workaround.

    Do you know what causes this and how to solve this problem?

    Hve you discussed this with your hosting provider. It’s likely that something is not set up correctly, so it can’t figure out where downloads.www.ads-software.com is. Talk to your host, get them to fix the server.
