    Good morning,
    i need to allow my logged-in users to download for free documents, manuals, datasheets of products.
    I tried a plugin that allow me to download only free downloadable product but it doesn’t help me because i can’t add them to the cart later.
    I need to download documents without checkout and also the possibility to add the article to the cart and continue with the checkout, in my case i’m doing an only for quotes e-commerce

    Hi @ripa01,

    The tricky part here is we need these downloads to be available without checking out, but they also need to be able to be added to the cart.

    WooCommerce does not have a way to give downloads to anyone without them first “checking out” with them. Even if it’s for free, they still have to go through checkout.

    One option might be to make these downloads free products so they can be used in the cart. Then use a secondary plugin that handles downloads. Then you could make the files available outside of WooCommerce that way.

    Duplicating these is not idea but I don’t know another way to accomplish what you have in mind outside of that.
