Download Limit

Hi

I have a downloadable product containing three links for download.

1. In case I set “download limit” to 2, does it mean that each link in that product may be downloaded twice?

2. If someone buy this product and asks for quantity of 4. Is there a way to send 4 different mails, each mail containing the three links with download limit of 2?

What is the best way to handle this issue?
