    Hi,

    I am using download monitor

online with wp 4.4.2 / Woocommerce / Sensei and several other plugins
offline (localhost) with wp 4.4.2 / Woocommerce / Learndash and several other plugins

In both cases, I followed the instructions given on your website but in both cases the download buttons:
+ work fine when they are set open in a post or a lesson online (download settings: members only or no restriction)
    – but lead to thewebsite/download/numberofthedownload which is not recognised and ends up on a 404
—when they are used in localhost with any type of download setting
—when they are used online with “when the product is purchased”

These downloads should normally be restricted to customers… but the problem remains whatever the restriction I use. The link given above is just for the example.

    I wonder if
    – the offline issue is due to localhost or to learndash
    – I miss anything in the set-up to restrict download to those who have bought the product and if it’s possible to correct it or if I need to buy the pro version or to go to another plugin to make it work.

I look forward to reading your advices and answers…
    Many thanks in advance,
    Sincerely,

    Thierry

    Hi there,
A little up… any advise more than welcome

    Hey @thierryreussironline,

I apologize for the delay in replying.

Would it be possible to make the website live so we can test it?

    Hi Harish,
Thanks a lot for your answer. The website is now online.
Unfortunately the problem remains. When I click on the link, it doesnt trigger any download and it redirects me to the homepage.
I have seen this error in another topic on this forum. It was due to another download management plugin but I dont think I have any other one (although I am using learndash and I put this link [download=”xxx”] in a “file lesson”).
I have also reuploaded a new file to try a new fresh link… but still

    Here is the website: https://shorturl.at/oqvDL
It would be great if you could have a look but I am not sure on how to grant you access to this course.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Problem solved!
I got this proposal on another forum:
“Shot in the dark, but maybe try flushing permalinks: https://wpastra.com/docs/how-to-refresh-wordpress-permalinks/
    and it made the job!!!
