Download Manager with security

  • Using WP 2.3 For the first time
    And I LOVE IT!
    However I was a user of Joomla, and i loved how Doc-man plugin had security and hotlink protection.
    I have tried using Drain Hole but it just would not work properly with my GoDaddy Root directory.
    Is there any download manager’s out there for WordPress where users and i, can upload files, set security level for register users to download only, and prevent hotlinking?

  • I have been investigating Joomla but having set up a wordpress blog already (with a template I like and matching my google mail/open DNS search templates to match!) I would prefer to stay with WordPress.

    What I’m looking for is an addon that is fairly basic and will display/manage a list of pdf files that will only be accessible to registered subscribers of my blog. I will be adding new files regularly so needs to be easy to maintain.

    Is there such a beast for wordpress or am I better switching platforms to Joomla. (Server power/space isn’t a problem).
