Download Monitor for CPT using Custom Field

Hi,

First of all thanks for an awesome plugin. Is there any way I can use it for my own custom post type rather post_type=sdm_downloads.
Example: I have a post_type=documents and file is stored in the custom field ‘file_url’.
Is there any way I can change the shortcode and use the id of post_type=documents and ‘file_url’ as thecustom field.

Any help would be great.
