I use the Gutenberg plugin to test upcoming features before they are released in new WordPress updates. When the Gutenberg plugin is enabled, I cannot bulk download media with Bulk Attachment Download. When I click the download link on Bulk Downloads, I’m taken to a post page with no content and no link instead of seeing a download pop up. Disabling the Gutenberg plugin restores my ability to download the files.

Currently my site is on Gutenberg version 10.6.1 and version 1.3.1 of your Bulk Attachment Download plugin.

I know you don’t have any control over the Gutenberg plugin, but I wanted to flag this as a potential problem as the Gutenberg plugin should just contain features that are being tested for WordPress Core 5.8.

    Thanks

Hi thanks very much for flagging this. It looks like it’s a known issue with the Gutenberg plugin messing with the template filters #31753, #31699 – which causes a problem as Bulk Attachment Download uses the single_template filter to create the download.

I’ve changed the priority on the filter in the development version and that seems to fix it. If you have a moment would you mind trying out the development version (https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/bulk-attachment-download.zip) to see if that fixes it for you?

Either way thanks again for letting me know…
