• Recently I have enabled amp (Accelerated mobile pages) for my WordPress site. Everything is working fine except that the download button is not working. I’m using download manager plugin for managing downloads.

In non-amp version, when i click download:

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/
    is redirected to :

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/#
and the file is getting downloaded.

In amp version when i click:

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/amp
    it is directed to:

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/amp/#
which is not a valid download URL.

    I just want to redirect:

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/amp/#
    to:

    auhippo.com/2017/06/14/ma2112-mathematics-nov-dec-2015-reg-2009/#
to make the download link work.

    thanks for your response @ampforwp

Can you tell me how are you adding that download button?

By using download manager plugin (check here)

Not all the downloadable files are saved in my server, instead of that i used to upload it in google drive and linked with my site using download manager. The files which are saved in my server are getting downloaded without any problem.
I found that the downloading files url is rewritten by /amp/# when a user click download button. I just want to redirect it to /# so that the file can be downloaded.

    Hey @auhippo,

    Yes, I have checked it.
The issue is due to the incompatibility of that plugin with AMP, the architecture of that plugin is not compatible with AMP.

So, there are two solutions for this:
1: you can ask them to make it AMP compatible.
2: You can hire us to do this.

    Regards
    Marqas
