download speed slow

    Hi, I feel my new wordpress site (https://ihef.net)takes longer time to open up. I asked for service support. A technician of my server said it was ok. It took about 10-15 second on his side to download. Is this within a normal range? Thank you.

    WordPress 2.* isn’t the fastest thing around, but 10-15 seconds seems fairly long. It depends on many things, but it looks as if your DNS servers are slow. At least at first load, it did. Seems quite fast now.

    MattRead, thank you. I have found the problem. I used a counter provided by my server (java applet). once I removed it my site is loaded much faster.
