Download visit duration?

    Hi,

    I have the add-on bundle and appreciate the extra features, even though I only installed a couple of them that I wanted, about user information and excel download.

    I would like to be able to see detailed information about the length of each visits. This information is not on the excel file activity.csv. There’s only the time of the visit, but not the duration.

    I can see the top average visit durations on the Audience page, but there’s no way to download that list, and it’s not page-specific.

    Is it possible to have this information added to the activity.csv file?

    Hi,

    we’ve excluded this metric by design: HTTP is a stateless protocol and as such it doesn’t allow to measure visit durations in a very accurate way. We’ve developed a “ping” add-on, which is currently being tested, as a workaround to this issue. However it greatly increases the amount of traffic to/from your server. At that point you would need a custom report that extracts that kind of information from the raw data.
