Downloadable File Contend and Creation

  • Hi,

    so here is the basic setup, for the question.
    I created a new map and uploaded a gpx file to show a track on the map. Then I added 2 photo spots with pictures.

    If someone now downloads this map, he can select between a bunch of different formats like kml, gpx and so on.

    For example if someone downloads the map as GPX file, will there be a whole new file created or will the map include the original gpx file i used to create the map?

    ALso will the photo spots exported as markers and if so in which file format. (maybe only in kml files or only gpx files or all of them?) Will the used image also be exported, and if so, which file format supports that, if any (gpx, kml, geojson).

    I hope the question is clear. Its a little hard to describe.

    Yes this is a completely new file. Which Markers, Lines and Shapes are included in the export is based on which Overlays are selected in the Overlay Filter.

    Yes, Markers with photos are exported also. Each file format handles attributes differently, but Waymark exports the Type, Title, Description and URLs to images along with each Overlay.

    I suggest playing around with the different exported file formats and do let me know if you comes across anything you think could be improved.
