downloadable products question

    Can you let us know if this back order plugin will work with downloadable products ? We release pdf documents 3-4 times and year and allow pre-ordering of downloads that will be available in future. Is that possible? So if a customer pre-orders a download, when the download is released into stock they automatically receive an email letting them know that the download is available, is that possible?
