• Hi, I am trying to set up a wordpress/woocommerce website to sell both physical and downloadable products. For the downloadable products I am using a (direct) URL to my Onedrive storage to avoid overloading my website. I have verified that the link works direct from the browser (does not go not via a Onedrive page). However when the website user presses the download button (after checkout) the file that is downloaded has a string of characters for its name and no extension. If I rename the file with extension, I have the file I expected. So all the data is coming through, just the naming is corrupted. I have tried various .mov .mp4 and .jpg files.

Based on other posts I have made sure the file names have no spaces or “-” signs. I have tried opening the website under Chrome, IE and Firefox.

    No success so far!

    Simon

    Hi Mzaheerdad
I had already disabled most. Have now disabled everything except woocommerce and WP File Manager.
    Same result.

One correction to my original input in case it helps … for the video download it is just called ‘download’ … it is the jpg that gets a string of letters for its name. Both have no extension.

Hi, are there any other suggestions how I might solve this problem, thanks Simon
