Downloading backup files through dashboard

I have a possibly very silly question: My sites all use SSL/TLS, properly configured with no mixed content errors. If I log in to the dashboard and manually download an UpdraftPlus backup file through the dashboard interface, those downloads are encrypted using the site’s SSL/TLS certificate, as with other site content, is that correct?

(I’m speaking here of the free version of the plugin, not any of the premium features, and I’m referring to directly downloading files through the administrative dashboard, not using any of the third-party services for file storage or file management.)
