    Hello,

I have installed latest version of cloudinary plugin in our WordPress site and I have a problem with it.

I have set to use Cloudinary and WordPress as storage in settings and autosync.

When I go to Media Library i see many images set with label ‘Downloading from Cloudinary’ and they stay like this for very very long time already. I don’t see activity and they never get that label changed, neither the images are really downloaded. When I edit the image post, I see that the image URL is cloudinary image url and I guess this is expected if is not downloading them.

So now I am not sure now if it is really downloading them to local storage or if it must be downloading them, or just the label ‘Downloading from Cloudinary’ is wrong and misleading.

Can you please give me more info about that?

Another thing also is when I run analyze with WP Cli, it says that i have more than 1000 images unsuported and from what I understand, those are the images that are part of Cloudinary and are not part of the wordpress storage itself.

Is that true and is this reason to show them ‘unsupported’ for sync? Is the sync one way only from WP to Cloudinary?

I have prepared also a report file, but I don’t see a way to attach it here.

    Best regards,
    Ali Nebi

    Hi @anebi85

    Thanks for reaching out.

When the label Downloading from Cloudinary is displayed it means that the storage was set as Cloudinary Only and changed to Cloudinary and WordPress so now the images are being downloaded in order to be also stored in your WordPress storage.

Since those images are already hosted in Cloudinary, it is normal that the URLs are pointing to Cloudinary since they are still synced.

Could you let me know how many images in total you have? And the type of files you have on your WordPress Media Library? Are they all synced to Cloudinary?

If you’d like to attach the System Report or any attachments, you will need to create a ticket to [email protected].

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Thank you for your fast reply.

The subfolder I have set for this specific site is with total count of assets in Cloudinary: 1,901

We have images (jpg/png) mostly and maybe few SVGs, but 99.9% of the images are jpg/png.

What I see is that the images are never downloaded to the local storage and always stay with Downloding from Clodinary label. No matter how long I am waiting. I see this for more than a week already. I tried to reinstall cloudinary plugin and do bulk sync but this does change anything, so it looks like to me that the images are never downloaded.

And the type of files you have on your WordPress Media Library? – jpg, png,svg (mostly jpg and png)

Are they all synced to Cloudinary – local storage got synced to cloudinary when i ran wp cli:

    Analyzing 2578 assets:
    2578 Analyzed | 100%

    Synced : 257
    Un-synced : 4
    Unsupported : 2317

From what I saw Unsupported is set when the image is missing locally.

Are they all synced to Cloudinary? – some of the images before upgrade to v2 were locally for wp and others (big part were in cloudinary only under the subfolder), so cloudinary images under that subfolder are/were never part of WP media library before.

It is quite strange. I am going to send you the report file with included a single image that is with that state.

I forgot to mention that we were using plugin v1 and upgraded it to v2 follow the procedure with deactivate v1, uninstall v1, install v2 and reconfigure it.

    Thanks and regards,
    Ali

    Hi @anebi85,

As confirmed on our internal ticket, 2.7.1 does fix the issue so I am closing this forum thread.
