Downloading new and or better themes to wordpress

I am new to this process of developing a web page. Matter of fact I am overwhelmed. Basically because I don’t understand all the computer language. But I am here and need assistance in getting new themes to my developing site. How do I find or what is a simple process for getting new themes from workpress or any where else to my site I am working on?
