    Hi @soythemilk,

    Do you mean that zip is downloading normally, without any error messages, but when you try to open it on your PC it then outputs the error? If that’s correct – could you please check what is the size of that zip file on your PC?

    @soythemilk,

    Ok, thanks for the info. I will have to look into it. I’m not at the office today, so please give me a couple of days. Will get back to you here as soon as possible.

    @soythemilk,

    One idea though – if you go to your admin dashboard “Settings > Download Plugins and Themes from Dashboard” – there is “ZIP library” option in “Advanced Settings” section – could you please try changing the value from “ZipArchive” to “PclZip” and saving the settings? Please let me know if that helps.

    It didnt work, now the message is this:

    Error: PclZip PCLZIP_ERR_READ_OPEN_FAIL (-2) : Unable to open archive ‘C:\Users\IUSR_9~1.NE\AppData\Local\Temp/one-page-express.zip’ in wb mode.

    Hi @soythemilk,

    Trying to solve it right now – will get back to you in next hour, hopefully with new plugin version.

    Hi again @soythemilk,

    From your error it looks like temporary directory used by plugin is not writable. We’ve just released new plugin version 1.4.3, where I’ve added new “Temporary directory” option to “Settings > Download Plugins and Themes from Dashboard > Advanced Settings”. As I understand you are running the plugin on your localhost, correct? If that’s so – please try setting “Temporary directory” option to something like C:\Temp, then please try creating Temp folder on C: drive and please make sure that it’s writable. Please let me know how it went.

    I downloaded the new version and it didnt worked.

    So the only way its by accesing to my localhost? I have no access to that, just to the wordpress dashboard ??

    @soythemilk,

    The problem is that temporary directory is not writable, so plugin can’t store temporary zip file during zip creation there. So we need to set “Settings > Download Plugins and Themes from Dashboard > Advanced Setting > Temporary directory” option to some directory that is writable. For example on my localhost, there is a default C:\WINDOWS\TEMP directory that is writable, so if I would set it in plugin’s “Temporary directory” option, then it would work fine. I’m on Windows obviously. So to sum up – what I’m trying to say – you don’t need to access your localhost, but we need to know a path to some writable folder where we could save temporary zips. Hope you get the idea…
