Downloads every time

It works, it looks great, but it looks like it actually downloads the scripture on every page load! It should cache the result (it doesn’t change), or at least use transients api, please (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Transients_API).
As it is now, I would imagine this plugin will cause bandwidth problems on popular pages, especially if multiple scriptures are used.
