I have a custom template file created to display information about downloads
    theme folder/single-dlm_download.php
This has been working fine for quite some time. I can display information about a download – Title, Description etc and provide a link to actually download the file.

I updated from version 4.4.4 of the plugin to 4.5.4 and now when I click to view details about a download, I get redirected to the actual download file itself (e.g. a pdf).
I don’t have “Redirect to file” set for any of my downloads.

I have cleared transients in the plugin, changed the no-access page, updated the permalinks and even downloading version 4.4.4 of the plugin again but still having this issue.

Is there a setting something else I need to change to restore having a template page display details about a download, rather than automatically redirecting to the associated file?

On further investigation, if I downgrade back to version 4.4.4 – then update the plugin, clear the transients and update the permalinks – then the download template page works again. So something with one of the updates between 4.4.4 and 4.5.4 is causing the problem of bypassing the download template page and going directly to the download file.

    Hi @uisneach,

    Thanks for reaching out!
Can you please send me the URL to such a page? That offers info about the download?
Also are you using just the free/lite version or are you using an extension?

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
