Downloads not visible

    Hello!
    For a few days now I have had the problem that all new downloads that have been assigned to categories are no longer displayed on the landing page.

    Nothing has been changed, the procedure has been the same for 2 years.

    What could be the cause of this?

    Hello @dcnph,

    Could you please more info, like what shortcode you are using, how are you ordering the downloads in the shortcode, in which categories have you added downloads?

    The numbers are generated automatically!

    I’ve created Download categories and every category is assigned a slug.
    For an example I’ve the ?information“ category assigned the slug ?20“.
    I then create a download and assign it the category information.
    At the page where the download should appear I use following code: [downloads featured=true category=20] where 20 is the slug I created for the information category

    I see, so for the Downloads list you use the [downloads] shortcode if I understand correctly. Is that right? And are the new Downloads, those that do not appear, featured Downloads?

    Correctly!
    I just edit a new download with Title, file upload and select the category, further I publish it. This has always worked so far.
    Since one month I can′t click the Button “highlighted” or “featured” download, this button has dissapeared.

    Could you please go edit a Download, click the Screen Options button and make sure the Download Options checkbox is checked?

    It still was activated, but no visibility at the homepage!

    Could you please install this plugin:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/??

    After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.

    Go to its troubleshoot mode and only activate this plugin and see if the same happens with a default theme and no other plugins.

    Please let me know how it goes and what you find!
