    Hello,

I also experienced this issue with the latest 1.3.2 update. I even started a thread about this a few days ago. I’d recommend downgrading to 1.3.1 as that solved the issue for me until there’s another workaround.

    Best regards,
    VinhSon

Are you running Next gen gallery or WordPress HTTPS?

I am not currently running Next gen gallery or using WordPress HTTPS. Things worked up until 1.3.2 update.

That question was for the OP. But if you can disable all plugins and see if it is a conflict that would be helpful.

This far the cases I’ve seen have been conflicts, so finding out whats causing it will help me find a better fix (rather than reverting the code to what I feel is wrong anyway).

    Hi Mike,

I’m not running either of those addons. I’ll go through and disable what’s currently running, see if that helps.

Thanks Vinh, I’ll look into that if this doesn’t work.

I too am having the same issue on version 1.3.2. I have rolled back to 1.3.1 as a work around for now.

    I’ve rolled back to 1.3.1

If someone wouldn’t mind can you try download a file please and let me know if it’s successful.

@algeos1881 – downloads are not working for me when I tested using Firefox 25.0.1.

    Thank Rich.

As I never actually set this WP site up I have no idea what the past developer did, so I’m at a loss why when anyone outside our network tries to access a download, they get redirected or a 404.

Is there a setting within download monitor that offers this functionality?

I had a client that had the same issue. One, try and re-save the permalink and see if that fixes it. Two, open a download, click the blue bar under Downloadable File Versions, make sure that under File URL(s) you actually have a url and not an absolute path to the file.

    Thanks.

Still no luck, I’ve ended up just linking to dropbox.

    Cheers

@algeos1881 maybe you have your download in download_montior_files, and you have the ‘redirect’ option checked. Or perhaps you are linking there directly?

That folder is protected – outside access is restricted.
