I should add that there are no custom templates and the site is running Download Monitor version 4.4.2.

There is a setting to stop hot linking from external sites. Perhaps this is what is tripping you up?

Downloads > Settings > Prevent hotlinking.

    Thanks for the response Scott.

The downloads are still redirecting to the home page with the “Prevent hotlinking” setting enabled or disabled.

    Any other thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

First please check if you have set up a “No Access” in the “Pages” tab in the “Downloads > Settings” menu. Once this is done, go to “Settings > Permalinks” click on “Save Changes” and test again.

    Thanks for the response Harish,

There is a No Access page set up and it is the page selected in the Downloads > Settings “Pages” tab.

I saved the Permalinks and retested but unfortunately the links are still redirecting to the Home page.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hello,

Can you please share a link to one of your downloads and also a screenshot of the download page (WordPress backend) so I can see the file URL and the settings?

I have exactlly the same problem!!! I follow all the directions you wrote, but no one helped ;( Is there any other sugestion?

    Hello,

Please share the download links so we can test as there are multiple things can go wrong and it’s hard to guess without testing a link.
