draft is ok but error 404 when publishing for all pages

  • Hi,
    I just open a new site but each time i publish a page, i get 404 not found on the site. I can see it when it’s not been published.
    no problem with same them on other site.

  • Navigate to “Settings > Permalinks” in the admin dashboard main menu (on the left) and then try visiting your published Page again.

    i can get the page only if there is no permalinks (default value)
    in the setting, if i try to have /post name/ or the others, => page not found
    why?is there other setting to do?

    It’s possible your server does not support permalinks or WordPress is unable to automatically update your .htaccess file with the required rules. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Permalinks

    it is strange, i have an other site, (in fact my test site) on the same server, same theme, same updates and it works !
    bad luck for me. i don’t remember having done something else in the setting in the test site a few months ago.
