Draft status for listings no longer works

OK, my developer was able to check this right away…here’s what he said:

I just tried this and it works. I think there may be some confusion because we changed how the listing status is displayed. By saying that “Complete” is the only status that works is a clue, but “Complete” is not a post status, it’s a listing status.

The problem is that the position we now use to display the listing status is what WP uses for the post status everywhere else, so that’s why he might be confused.

We also changed the filters on the top so they now refer to listing statuses (Completed, Pending Payment, etc.) and not post statuses (draft, published, etc.).

If he’s not even seeing the “Draft” tag when saving a listing as Draft, then something else is definitely going on, but we would need to get more details to debug it.

I don’t see how we can change the listings to incomplete? In quick edit, we can access the normal post statuses like Draft, Private, etc.

We need an easy way to take a listing offline when the person has not paid their membership, then locate these easily when they renew their membership.

When I look at it, the attributes don’t look like your screen shot. Hope you can see this:

Are you running version 5.0.x? The screenshot I showed was from our latest. The old version is not what you want if you need a better status view right now.

I just upgraded to the latest version and although the back end does look more like your screen shot, I am still not sure how my users are supposed to save listings that are not to be published (if they are still working on it, or the people have not finalized their payment). I can’t save listings as “Draft” anymore. I get that the new listing status is “Complete,” but I don’t see any way to change it to something other than Complete — is there an “Incomplete” status? That would work for us.

The only option I can use now is saving the listing as Privately Published, but when you look at the listings in the back end it’s difficult for people to tell what the status is. Before, it was very easy to find the draft listings.

Thanks for the follow-up. I wasn’t sure if I was seeing the right thing in the new release, but I am glad that we have a common understanding of the problem. Thanks again!
