• Back to V9.1 ??
    Like the handles for vertical alignment, also the drag and drop blocks handles disappeared when updating. Also in V9.5.2
    Love it, and I hate. I Want to stay updated. Nice new features all the time and it may involve safety upgrades, but I also lose a lot of time with new issues whereby I initially doubt myself and then discover later its not me.

  • They don’t like drag n drop, they prefer 3-4 times multi-click hence why so many people feel the UX is not about regular people.

    @robhoe1965 The drag and drop handles aren’t present when using the ‘top toolbar’ mode, but they should be visible otherwise. I don’t think there should be any difference between 9.1 and 9.5.2 though.

    @talldanwp thanks for reply.
    Yes, they are gone, and I am not using the ‘top toolbar’ mode. The up/down buttons work for just moving up or down but keeping the up/down button pressed and drag does not work either.
    But it is quite strange. Not only drag and drop is not possible, but also the plugin “Block Navigation” does not work. I use https://localwp.com/ to build the site locally and then I have the problems. However, after migrating the full site with Duplicator PRO to the live site, all works fine on the live site also after updating the Gutenberg plugin.
    Locally, updating gives is a problem. I’ll check with localwp to.

    @talldanwp Not solved but I worked around the problem. From wplocal, I exported the site with Duplicator PRO, then created a new site from scratch in wplocal, installed the duplicator plugin at this fresh site and imported the site again. Apparently, I lost some unwanted luggage/code during this exercise??

    @robhoe1965 The drag handle is to the left of the up/down buttons since version 9.1 of the plugin. You shouldn’t need to drag on the up/down buttons themselves.
