Drag and Drop not working on windows 10's Edge Browser?

  • Hi Guys,

    I am one of the millions received a free upgrade of windows 10. I notice on Edge browser the drag and drop on uploading images on wordpress is not working. Does anyone encounter the same problem?

  • Just created a ticket for the issue. I am experiencing the identical problem on my Windows 10 Edge browser.

    I think the issue is with windows 10. I used to upload attachments in gmail and other sites. Nothing is working not just wordpress.

    This isn’t WordPress I suspect, it’s the Edge browser, which doesn’t handle certain media types nicely (especially PDFs I have found). There are lots of complaints on the MS forums about the issue.

    Tip: click the … button at the top right and you can choose “Open in IE”, which does work as it used to.

    (I’m just going to find out if I can set IE as the default browser instead…)

    I am having similar problems reading PDF files using Edge browser.
    I do not have Edge on my pc but one of my clients does.
    Have any of you tried to use the plugin, PDF-embedder ?
    Does using this resolve the issues? Thanks.
