Dreadful – doesnt work and doesnt clean up its mess

  • Installed this. Doesnt work at all with my theme (X-Theme) and worse still when you uninstall it, it doesnt clean up the pages it auto creates so youre left with a load of unclean fragmented junk which cant be used and slows the site down.

    Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. However, are you sure you’re reviewing the right plugin? It does have an uninstall routine that removes all settings, and it also does not auto create any pages when installed.

    As a follow up, I have not heard back from the user, nor have I seen any related posts in the support forum. Since there is no follwup from the user, I’m not sure what happened in this instance, but as previously noted, the plugin does not auto-create any pages when it installs. Those are user created (and so it does not delete those upon uninstall). It does have an uninstall routine that is WP standard, and when the uninstall is run, it removes any and all of its settings in the db. So it is in fact built to clean up after itself if you remove it.

    As for theme compatibility, the plugin is built to WP standards. I don’t know what the specific theme is (or was) and so I can’t comment on specifics. But I have not run into any themes built to WP standards that the plugin has been incompatible with. Themes with builders sometimes need special consideration, but that’s not the same as “incompatible”.
