• Hello, I just installed the latest version of WordPress using Dreamhost’s One-Click Installs feature in their admin section.

The blog comes up ok at https://consciousmarketingmakeover.com

but when I go to the login page at https://consciousmarketingmakeover.com/wp-login.php , the CSS file is not pulling up the styles, which I am assuming is because I installed WordPress into the root domain. It allows me to login ok with CSS being totally naked and all, but the same problem shows up once logged into the WordPress admin page with the Dashboard, and all the other wonderful WordPress goodies. Again, the CSS doesn’t show up.

Does anyone know what file I need to modify to correct the CSS so that it renders correctly, and styles show up on screen?

    Thanks, ya’ll.

Out of curiosity, what leads you to that conclusion? I’ll confess I’ve not heard that one, but am willing to learn.

When I visited your login link I saw a normal login page. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you’re missing or not seeing?

(OH! if you’re looking for the “big blue login box”, it doesn’t exist anymore)

Hmmm… not sure why I’m not seeing it on my end. I guess it is looking ok. I’ll try emptying the cache to see if that works. Thanks.

I’ve done the same thing with Dreamhost, and tho I can edit posts, I Can’t post new ones. Any ideas?

Could you post a link to a screenshot so we could see what you’re seeing?

it looks fine, until I hit publish and then the button doesn’t do anything, the white lettering look muted and light blue.

I can quick post no problem, but not a regular post. I can also edit posts too.

@ravensensei – yep, it looks fine except for the draft and publish buttons are starting out disabled (apparently).

I have a couple blogs at Dreamhost (2 in root directories) and have never scene this!

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

And just for grins, have you tried setting your theme to Default and [temporarily] disabling all plugins? Perhaps there’s some conflict from an older plugin? That would help spot it.

That’s what I am going to do next to see.

Strange thing is, it’s only in Firefox. In IE7, I can make posts.

I deleted all the plug ins and cleared my cache, and it seems okay now. That was funky.

@ravensensei the web is a funky place ?? Glad you got it sorted out.

    @sbarfuss any luck?
