Dreamhost cloud service

Sorry but BackWPUp didn’t officially support for Dreamhost, you can using another backup destination like DropBox, Google Drive or Amazon S3 instead ??

Can I use an old version that has a dreamhost cloud service available? – So before the latest 3.4.5 update, you using a custom S3 service ?

Hi @duongcuong96, in that case you might want to remove the option from the dropdown on the S3 settings page. It was working fine before version 3.4.5 but now it is returning the following error:

[curl] 6: Could not resolve host: s3.dreamhost.amazonaws.com; Name or service not known [url] https://s3.dreamhost.amazonaws.com/

s3.dreamhost.amazonaws.com isn’t the right name for the DH cloud.

The hostname is objects-us-west-1.dream.io

I’m not sure about your case but BackWPUp will connect to DH cloud with resource URL https://objects-us-west-1.dream.io

I solved the issue by migrating everything to S3 but you might want to look into this regardless.

The hostname defined inc/class-destination-s3.php is correct (and it’s not editable). Based on the error message and after doing a quick search in the plugin source code, the only library that could’ve generated the {service}.{region}.amazonaws.com URL is the AWS PHP SDK. Did you update it recently?

The new 3.6.0 version is released with custom S3 URI enabled and have a lot of improvements and bug fixes ??
So please update as soon as possible.
