Drop Caps: Why are they showing up all of a sudden?

    I recently noticed that some of my posts are showing drop caps, mostly much older ones. These were automatically inserted. But I don’t know what did it – a theme? a plugin?

    I don’t mind the drop caps, except for the fact that they are not consistently distributed on all my posts. I have seen code that will allow me to eliminate or enable drop caps across posts. But before I do that, I’d like to try to diagnose WHY they showed up in the first place. Maybe there is theme code I can delete or a setting I can fix on a plugin.

    On doing a quick review, I found that on certain posts data-initials is getting added to the <div> which is doing that.

    I assume this should be theme setting if you are using any paid theme and somewhere in theme there must be a way to disable that.

    Or else if you don’t mind in sharing the list of active plugins list or screenshot, we can do further analysis and update you if any of the plugin is doing this.
