Drop Down Group for visual aid

    Let’s assume that when you add all the different groups together onto the individual list page it is huge… and lets assume that 50% of the detail is only entered by 50% of the users.

    Is there a way that certain groups can be displayed collapsed and ready to be expanded if the user wants to read more detail.

    I currently have a section for medical conditions that goes on forever. Most people don’t need to fill it in therefore it hardly ever needs to be displayed for the admin who is checking through records.

    Basically… is there some shortcode to expand/contract a group on the pdb_single screen?

    That probably makes more sense!

    It’s complicated, there are several approaches to take…The easiest is if your theme has “accordion” shortcodes, you can break the display up into a series of “pdb_single” shortcodes, each one showing a a part of the record, then warp the segments you want collapsed in the accordion shortcodes.

    Okay…. found an easy way for those like me who don’t know what they are doing. Plugin called “Collapse-o-matic… allows shortcode around the shortcode to expand and collapse groups.

    [pdb_single fields=”a,b,c” ]
    [/expand]
