• I recently upgraded my website to WordPress 4.1. It uses the Aluminiumism theme from PADD Solutions. My slider stopped working a week after I installed the new WordPress theme and now my drop-down menus aren’t working. This is my website https://www.the-art-of-autism.com Any suggestions?

  • You could try deactivating your plugins to see if any are causing that. Also try another theme to see if it’s theme specific. If so, ask the developer about it.

I tried deactivating one plug-in Jquery-updater which was the only plug-in I’ve installed since I installed WordPress 4.1 and I still had a problem. I’ll look at other plug-ins. How difficult is it to install a new theme?

Installing a new theme is as simple as going to Appearance > Themes and clicking Activate on a different theme. For troubleshooting, I’d suggest first deactivating ALL plugins. If that fixes the problem, reactivate them one by one until you find the troublesome one. If not, leave them off and activate twentyfifteen theme – if you don’t have the same menu issue there, then you know it’s the theme and you’ll need to ask the developer.

    Installing a new theme

Actually, that should have been ACTIVATING not Installing.
