Drop Down menu question

    Having followed various threads on the forum I have finally got a drop down menu working!! But I still have one issue. Let’s say I have created 4 pages called TOP, D1, D2 and D3. Clicking on TOP lets me see the three drop down options D1 D2 and D3. But here’s the issue: clicking on TOP brings me to the TOP page. I don’t want this page to exist. I just want a menu heading called TOP, with three drop downs. If I delete the TOP page and leave it in the menu, I get a 404 page not found when I click TOP. Is there any way to avoid going to the TOP page?
