Drop downs suddenly not working

Went to bed last night and web site working fine.

Got up this morning and drops downs aren’t working, this includes the main menu drop down and accordion / toggle drop downs. The “downward pointing chevron” icon to the right of the menu item title (which indicates that a drop down is available when hovering over the main menu title) has also disappeared. The same issue is apparent on two separate desk tops, mobile phone and tablet.

I also have a “go to top” button at the bottom of every page which has disappeared too!

Menu and accordion / toggles were created using Elementor. WordPress version is 5.8.2.
