    Hi guys,
I have just installed UpdraftPlus on my wordpress blog and I’m trying to connect it to Dropbox. I am logged in in my Dropbox and click the link to “authorize access to my Dropbox account”.
When I click this link it takes me to this page where I need to click “Complete setup” to connect my account. When I do this, this takes me back to my wp-login. Then, I log in and I get back to this “Complete setup” page. It goes in a loop and I cannot seem to get it working, as it never actually completes the setup.
Anyone has had this problem before and knows how to get it working?

    Thanks for your help! Sunny

    Hi Sunny,

    Sorry about the delay.

It sounds like your browser or a browser addon is clearing your cookies which is causing you to be logged out of your WP site when you navigate to the Dropbox authentication sites.

Could you try another browser, or ensure that your cookies are not cleared when navigating away from a page.

    Then try again

Happens the same with me, and the connection was lost in the middle of the last week. (already tried a clean browser, another browsers, remove and clean plugin settings aand install plugin again).

I’m having the same issue. Stuck in an endless loop.

    Hi Ashley,
    Thanks for your reply!

I have tried it in two different browsers, they don’t seem to clear my cookies, but I’m still stuck in an endless loop. It makes me login to my Dropbox first now, then goes to the orange page where I need to click ‘Complete setup’ and then it makes me login to my WP site again and goes back to the Dropbox login again.

    Any other solutions? Thanks!
    Sunny

This is exactly the issue i’m having here (as described by @sunnybaxter)

    Hi all,

Do you have any security or maintenance mode plugins installed?

Would it be possible to disabled all other plugins and try again?

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

I was able to get it to work by switching from Chrome to Safari, though I see a lot who tried a second browser and still had issues.

Was able to get it to work disabling Jetpack. I totally recommend you guys to look after this problem, jetpack is the most normal plugin any wordpress user can have it.

Thank you, I will investigate the conflict between UpdraftPlus and Jetpack and work out why you get logged out with Jetpack installed and see if theres anything that can be done.

Another thing after that: As soon as jetpack was reenabled, UpdraftPlus lost the connection with dropbox.

Edit: Sorry, not exactly, the connection is still up, but i had a duplicate “connection” fields https://imgur.com/GX08NQA

    Hi,

I’ve looked into this and so far can’t find any conflict between UpdraftPlus and Jetpack.

I’m only using the free version of JetPack.

Are you on a paid version that gives you extra options?

Can you look through your JetPack options and check what features / options you have enabled and let me know so I can try the same.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

Its the same, using the security ones Brute force attack protection and downtime monitoring.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Are you still having the same issue until now? Have you already tried the latest version?

    Regards,
    Bryle
