  • I have the same problem in wordpress 4.2

To figure out what’s wrong, please try the following:

    1. Click on the textbox
    2. Open the Javascript console in your browser (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + J in Chrome)
    3. Copy/paste any error you see

This is my console log when replaying

    Deprecated TinyMCE API call: windowManager.createInstance(..)
Uncaught ReferenceError: pagenow is not defined

In my case the Types plugin cause problem. You have more info in this link: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/javascript-error-in-non-types-thickbox-popups-effecting-other-plugins

Disabling Types is not an option. I have asked over there and will ask again over here. Any workarounds available?

I know that this is not a option, but so far I have not found a solution

Another fine example of quality coding by OnTheGo Systems, it is then ;-( (Somehow I’m not surprised). Thanks anyway, let’s keep each other posted on any progress made.

Actually even when I disable ‘types’ i get prompted to fill out a non-existent field when I try to insert a gallery. I get a little tooltip ‘please fill in this field’ which is placed at the top left of the thickbox.

Does that happen to anyone else?

    Same problem here …
Wordpress 4.2.2, latest Version of nextcellent, no “Types” installed.

I want to insert a gallery – overlay opens with the configuration dialog. I click the gallery field, but the dummy text does not go away and i can’t select galleries. if i type the name OR the ID of the gal i want to have, i get a browser message “you need to select a gallery” only.

    Worked before, not not anymore.

I added this as an issue on Bitbucket.

Please anwser following questions in an effort to find the cause of this bug, since it doesn’t happen on my testing sites:

    • What plugins are you using?
    • What browser are you using?

Since updating Types to the latest version the issue has been resolved on my end.

I have this same problem, has anyone found a solution?

If you haven’t already done so please update to latest version of Word Press, your theme and NextCellent plugin.

Then list your OS, WP theme and if your WP install is multisite (WPMU) or single install.

Please deactivate all other plugins and test. Try testing in WP default 2015 theme.

    Please post your results here.

I also have this issue on some WP installs but not on all. So it’s been really hard to isolate what triggers this conflict.

Please, if anyone can post information about their website configuration and test results I’ll post it for the author on Bitbucket. He’s also having a hard time reproducing the issue.
