Dropdown field changes to first item on profile page

    I created a dropdown field with a list of states to keep the state entry box consistent.

    Then I set the field to Colorado for a user.

    When the user goes to edit their profile, the dropdown field changes to the first value automatically and without warning.

    Now the state field is Alabama, and if the user doesn’t notice the change, their profile will be incorrect.

    How do make sure that a preselected value in a dropdown stays at the preselected value when someone edits their profile?

    Hello @idougal,

    Please make sure that you have not put any space before or after comma (,) for options of “states” field in field settings.

    I hope this helps, let us know if you still face any issues.

    Thank you for the clarification. Removing spaces fixed the problem
