    Hello,

I want to add dropdown menus to my main nav, but it seems my theme does not support this. When I attempt to make dropdowns via “parent page” or Appearance>>Menus>>move items underneath/to the right, the menu remains static and no dropdown is added.

    Here is my site https://www.philcantor.com

Any idea what to modify in the coding to resolve this issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap. As you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

Thank you for responding, esmi, i really appreciate it.

It was a custom theme designed for my website (by a designer, not myself). I will look into upgrading and see if it will alter the appearance of my site.

Upgrading aside, any idea if I can change the code to allow for dropdown menus?

Sorry – not if it’s a custom theme. We have absolutely no idea how that theme was constructed. Also the level of coding/CSS needed would really beyond the scope of the support we are able to provide in the forum. If you cannot manage this yourself, you may want to consider hiring someone
