Dropdown menu link

I can do this in CSS/HTML but I’m relatively new to wordpress. I’ve only really had to modify a few things in the past. I’ve got a question about drop down menus I’m hoping you guys can help with.

I’ve looked around but haven’t found what I’m looking for exactly. Maybe I’m not searching with the correct terminology.

What I’m trying to do is make a drop down menu in the navbar where the first link in the drop down menu isn’t a link at all, only the links that it drops down to.

For example we have a menu button with 2 things under it. The menu button doesn’t do anything but when hovered or clicked it shows the 2 submenus.

Either that OR have it so the Menu button shows the first submenu page’s contents.
