I am using Elementor with the Astra (free version) theme. I chose Astra because it supposedly works well with Elementor.

I have a dropdown menu of eight items under one main menu item. On the home page, it displays just fine. On other pages, it displays between one and seven of them.

I built all of these pages using the Elementor blank canvas so as to eliminate any other code on each page.

I created a template from the header with this menu. I created another template from the home page (which currently has nothing else on it).

When I replace the header on other pages with either of these templates, the problem remains. The templates themselves both show all the dropdown items when I inspect them, but when I place them into pages, the pages do not.

I tried deleting one of the pages with the malfunctioning menu and creating it all over again. That did no good.

I have saved and re-saved the menu itself multiple times. It has all the items in their proper places.

Can anyone help with a solution other than deleting both the pages and the menu and starting over?

Please ignore. I seem to have solved the problem by dumping Astra and using the generic Twenty-Seventeen theme. That changed all the pages to Twenty-Seventeen default, but I just changed them to Elementor canvas pages, and everything seems to work.

I don’t know whether others have run into issues like this, but it appears that the recommended Astra theme was actually getting in the way of Elementor. Or that I had done some configuration thing to set the two of them fighting.
