Dropdown menu on a image map?

  • I have my header that is a background image, which is normal … and have an image map to make the menu clickable.

    I am wanting to add a dropdown menu from these map locations just to organize the site a little more into sections.

    Does anyone know how to do this, or can point me in the right direction?

  • It kind of depends on what type of effect you are looking for.

    jQuery, for example, could be used for more elegant fades/transitions/slidedowns, etc.

    Here is one example. You would have to view the source and see how to modify it for yourself.

    If that does not apply, try searching:
    image map with tooltip
    or
    jquery image map with tooltip

    Thanks, I’ll try that one. I saw some other examples on that site too.

    I just wanted something simple. Probably go with the map w/ tooltip.
