• The dropdown menus on my site have stopped working. They used to appear when a user would hover over or click on the menu items across the top of the header. Now they just don’t appear. I’m managing a site I did not build that uses a customized Sage theme.

I’ve tried disabling and enabling all plugins. I’ve tried saving Permalinks to another setting and saving back to the original setting. I’ve tried downgrading wordpress. I’ve tried jquery plugins to see if that’s the issue. None of these approaches have fixed the broken dropdowns.

When I switch the theme to Twenty Twenty-One, the dropdowns work properly, but obviously the site does not look the way it is intended. So I’m assuming the problem lies within my customized Sage theme. But I don’t know where to begin editing or fixing that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1-can you get in touch with the team that originally set up your site and customized your theme?

2-not sure if sage has any formal support team, but maybe check around on their website for team info.

Thanks Lisa! Unfortunately the initial developer of the site has been unavailable for years now. I’ll dig around the Sage resources and see if there’s anything I can glean from that.
